The longest wait will (soon) be over

J.K. Rowling just posted this on her official website:

Within hours you will know what happens to Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest in their final adventure. All the secrets I have been carrying around for so long will be yours, too, and those who guessed correctly will be vindicated, and those who guessed wrongly will not, I hope, be too disappointed! As for me, I feel a heady mixture of excitement, nerves and relief. ‘Deathly Hallows’ remains my favourite of the series, even after several re-reads; I cannot wait to share it with the readers who have stuck with me through six previous books.

In a matter of 4 hours, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be all over any bookstore in every english speaking country in the world---wow! Like any other normal fan, I can hardly wait!

So you must know that this weekend, i'll be one of those weirdos who'd be locked up in the bedroom reading from chapter to chapter, squinting in enjoyment, until finish! I expect that I'd be occasionally yelled at because i haven't bathe or eaten but generally I won't be disturbed, I won't allow it ;) With my sister out of the country, i have the book to myself (until monday night anyway). When she arrives, it will be her turn to go gaga so i might as well finish it quick ;)

If only I didn't have an afternoon HTML class... :( (why oh why do i have to workkk this muchhh) but that's that. You can still bet that when the clock hits 530, i'll be out of the school and moving towards home towards my room towards my new Harry Potter book.

Isn't life great? :D

Harry Potter is my Transformers

I have always liked the phrase "nothing short of amazing" - the first time i heard someone use it I knew it was going to be one of my favorite lines. I don't know, maybe because i'm the kind of person who tends to remember quotes/movie lines/lyrics however silly or seemingly ordinary they are. To be honest, i didn't know exactly what that phrase meant before, but when i finally did i found out that it was hard to mean. To describe something as nothing short of amazing in my blog or in real life is almost remotely impossible until 4 hours ago when I saw..

but don't take my post for it, go, watch.

:)

Spoilers Alert: Don't highlight if you hate spoilers as much as  i do. ;)

I know i don't need to say that I so loved it but I so luvvved it :) I especially liked the fight scenes inside the ministry of magic (the setting was perfect, a believable version of what was described in the book), I loved how Umbridge was portrayed (she was perfectly disturbing) and Luna - she's pretty and weird and i adore her and her looney baby voice (heheh), and the flow of story - from start to finish is so far, in my opinion, the best direction (most faithful in translation) among all the adaptations (ooh those rhymed but i just wanted to say way to go David Yates and co.), and in a major way, this time around Dumbledore wasn't messy, i think his character was redeemed (i so love how he battled against Tom (and how he refused to call him Voldemort - just Tom - cool) and how he's almost adorable when he stood up for Professor Trelawney :P, and lastly, I must say that I have forgotten Daniel Radcliffe is an actor  :P. and i don't feel like i have to explain why.

Why else is it a must -see? Well... (as if I haven't raved enough) can i just say that the use of the Daily prophet to tell the sequence of the story was brilliant? - it told a lot in less time/effort without the clutter. The previous directors must have been clucking their tongues thinking why didn't I think of that? It saved time thus essential parts of the story were saved? And it  took just what? I guess only Photoshop and After Effects and some CG magicians? Hehehe! You must also know that the previous HP movies were carefully injected into the story which was great! And there's the entertaining mini-flashback of the teenager Snape vs the Marauders. And the Room of Requirements and how it was made to look the same while showing More.  Can't quite explain it better but that the movie altogether is wow.

I'll watch it again for sure. Too bad my all-HP fanatic barkada are in another country code right now but wth, i'm sure they'll agree with me that the HP5 movie, to our great surprise, is nothing short of amazing. :)
